David Jardine K.C.

Associate Counsel

David Jardine is a Vancouver Criminal lawyer and Associate Counsel at Pender Litigation*. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1984 and practiced as a defence lawyer until 1988 when he joined the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS).

He prosecuted for the BCPS for almost 34 years and left the office in 2021. During that time, he prosecuted all types of criminal offences and specialized in Proceeds of Crime, Commercial crime, and Organized Crime. He has been a lead prosecutor in some of the largest and longest trials in BC during his time with the Organized Crime office. He has continued to do some Crown Counsel work on an ad-hoc basis since he left the BCPS.

He was appointed as Queens Counsel in 2013 and in November 2020 received a career recognition award from the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Heads of Prosecution Committee for Courage and Perseverance. In 2015 he was a visiting professional for 4 months at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, NL.

Mr. Jardine gives back to the profession in coaching UBC law school teams to improve their advocacy skills in the annual Sopinka Cup competition in Criminal law. As well he has been a regular instructor in the annual CLEBC program on advocacy.

Mr Jardine is available to practice on all manner of serious criminal offences. He is also trained in workplace investigations.
