Andrew Hindi
Associate Counsel
Andrew is a criminal defence lawyer with a practice focused primarily on appeals. He brings a wealth of experience with serious appellate matters and is the managing editor of Custos, a BC law blog focused on criminal appellate issues. Beyond his criminal defence practice, Andrew also handles prison law issues, including inmate disciplinary offences. Andrew has appeared before all levels of court in BC.
Andrew obtained his JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC and subsequently completed a Master of Laws at the University of Auckland. While in law school Andrew worked as a law student with Access Pro Bono and interned at the BC Securities Commission. A strong lawyer and academic, he regularly contributes to legal scholarship and has published articles in reputed journals such as The Advocates’ Quarterly. Andrew is a member of the Access Pro Bono, the Canadian Bar Association, and Legal Aid BC’s appellate roster, and accepts legal aid referrals.
